Lederhosen! Happy Birthday, Honey!

For my hubby's birthday today-- I gave him two of his favorite things: Muppets and Oktoberfest. I got him tickets to go see Avenue Q (the Broadway show with foul-mouthed puppets), and I made him his very own Lederhosen! Now we can match when I wear my Fraulein outfit.

A close up of the embroidery. It's a beer stein with barley and hops leaves. I started with a pair of brown corduroy pants that I turned into shorts, fashioned some suspenders, and made the chest piece with hand-drawn and hand-embroidered designs.

I'm glad that I have such a fun hubby!!! Doesn't he look great in his outfit?!?
