Last night, I started to panic a little bit about what I was going to wear today. Today is tough. I have to work this morning-- I'm supposed to look professional and also wear my work polo shirt. That means that my shirt is chosen, so my Me-Made piece has to be pants or a skirt... Plus, I'm meeting a friend out for lunch after work.Well, as of yesterday, I didn't have any work skirts (and I've never made a pair of pants!). So, I whipped up this pencil skirt! It is also from Burda 7576. (Remember the blue blouse I finished a couple of days ago from the same pattern?) For full disclosure, I already had the pieces cut out and the darts sewn in. I ended up modifying the pattern to make the slit in the back, not the front, and I didn't worry about matching up the window-pane pattern exactly. But still, this is the fastest I have ever whipped up a fully-finished garment! Woo hoo!
I made my necklace from scraps leftover from the Batwing top.
So today, I'll put my polo on for work, and then pull it off for lunch. I'm now excited about this outfit!
