I got quite a few little projects done this weekend. Above is my 1-piece swimsuit. I love this suit, but the V dips really low. I sewed in a panel of stretch lace to go over the V-neck. With my big sun hat on, I think that I look like a vintage bathing beauty.Second, I embellished some T-shirts. I picked up these shirts from the Target clearance rack. On the black/gray shirt, I added the lace inset. On the green shirt, I hand-sewed some green beads inside the feathers. I've never done beading on a shirt before. I actually wasn't too bad to do-- just turn a movie on, and go to town!
Finally, I did a quick upgrade on my newly made black pencil skirt. Below is a shot of the inside. I added a secret pocket and put binding around the waist seam. Looks great inside and out!
I've always wanted to try the beading - that's a great touch, especially on that top!
