It's the holiday season, and that means it's time for Christmas songs on the radio, and festive decorations around the house! I recently pulled out my trusty Nativity set. I love the folk-art look of the set--it inspires me to add to it (as we did last year).
This year, I decided to paint a backdrop to set the scene for the little characters. It is pretty simple-- just painted cardboard. I decided to paint sand with camel silhouettes on the left, Bethlehem in the center, and a flock of sheep on the right. I think it adds a little gravitas to the scene!Maybe at some point, I'll decide to make an entire set from scratch, like I did for my friend, but in the meantime, I really enjoy adding to our little set.
Very nice! I really admire you drawing and painting skills! :-)
