This dress got it's official debut at a friend's wedding in Vegas. Sorry for the blurry photos, but it was hard to get clear photos with the sunset and the lights on the Vegas strip.
My dress is loosely based on these two lovelies:
Sewing Notes- This dress is made from my basic long-sleeved tee pattern, but I used the front piece of McCall's 6435 to get the sweetheart neckline. (And you could easily just lengthen this pattern to make the look.) I used three fabrics for this dress: 2 different black laces and a nude underlining, all ordered online from fabric.com. All fabrics are stretch because, let's face it, I love me some stretchy fabric!!!

Originally, this dress had long sleeves, like Christina Hendricks' dresses, but it felt a bit too much like Elvira, Mistress of the Dark... Shortening the sleeves really opened it up and made it a bit sweeter, which is just what this dress needed.
We had a ton on fun at the Vegas Wedding! Congratulations D and V!!!
